These are Didier’s highest-elevation vines and are just across the appellation border from his Côte de Nuits Villages parcels. The soil is particularly stony here which gives the wine a potent minerality. The vines on average are now 30 years old. The grapes are not destemmed and the extractions are light with manual punchdowns and some pumping over.
