In 1924 Georges Thienpont bought the historic property and today it is still in the family's hands, run by Alexandre Thienpont, Georges' grandson. It is rightly considered to be one of the top estates in Pomerol, producing stunning wines year in and year out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vineyards are planted to 70% Merlot (in clay soils), 25% Cabernet Franc (in gravel-clay soils) and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon (in gravel soils) located in the heart of Pomerol, on the central plateau, surrounded by other famous estates.
